2025 Summer Camp Recap
The 2025 Summer Camp started June 8th with our High School Camp and Middle School Camp. This year’s camps also included 4/5/6 Grade Camp in partnership with Respite Care from Fort Collins, Intergenerational Camp, All About the Arts Camp, and Outdoor Living Skills Camp. We had six fantastic college students join us as Camp Counselors this year. Together with Camp Directors, the Counselors wrote the following mission statement prior to the start of Summer Camp: The mission of Highlands Summer Camp is to foster belonging, connection, faith, curiosity, and a sense of adventure in our campers through a safe and fun camp experience. We are positive that this year’s campers experienced all these attributes while at camp.
The 2025 camp theme was Linked by Love, where campers learned how they were linked by love, linked by grace, linked through acceptance and linked in truth. By the end of their camp week, we saw that the campers were linked together and formed a camp family. Campers enjoyed rock climbing, archery, canoeing, and paddle boats on the pond. In addition, NoCo Astronomy, The Boulder Watershed Collective, Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, and Butterfly Pavilion joined us to enhance our Summer Camp experience. More details on those programs will be shared in the following article. We pray that our campers have continued to feel God’s love, grace, and acceptance after they return to their day-to-day lives. We can’t wait to see them again next year!
